Roadshows will take place in April 2022 in Sweden, Denmark, Latvia.

Roadshows will take place in April 2022 in Sweden, Denmark, Latvia.

The purpose of Roadshow is to demonstrate the scalability of the GOF2.0 architecture, by operating a subset of the planned scenarios in three countries of selected advisory board members. Local CNS data will be integrated, and local aircraft operators will be invited to
integrate to the GOF2.0 environment and participate in the flight trials. The “roadshow” trial will take place between wave 1 and wave 2 of the main trials.

Denmark/Sweden: Virtual trial

Tests of 5 scenarios to be performed Copenhagen/Malmö, for example:

  • Large number of automated parcel delivery drones
  • Drone delivery to ship
  • Drone surveillance flights in urban area
  • Drone mapping flights
  • eVTOL international city flights in different directions

April 26
Latvia, Riga: Virtual trial

Tests of 4 scenarios to be performed in Riga showcased:

  • Coordinated flights of piloted aviation and UAV in Riga airport
  • First Responder UAS operation near Riga airport
  • Inspection of the ”RailBaltica” construction site
  • Inspection of freeport of Riga in RIGA CTR

  • Cross border operations between Helsinki (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia) with drones and manned aircraft served by U-space services

Trials 2021

Demonstrations will take place in 2021 and 2022 in Estonia (Tallinn, Tartu), in Finland (Helsinki), in Poland (Kąkolewo), in Austria (Klagenfurt).

Tartu (Estonia)

Tests of 5 scenarios are performed in Tartu, for example:

  • eVTOL intra-urban and peri-urban flights.
  • Long endurance drone surveillance flights (above 150m).
  • Drone surveillance flights in urban area (up to 120m). Multiple drones monitoring facilities.

September 13
Tallinn (Estonia)

Tests of 6 scenarios are performed in Tallinn, for example:

  •  Large number of automated parcel delivery drones operating <120 m.
  • Drone delivery from city harbour to ship under international flag.
  • Unexpected “HEMS” (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) flights.
  • eVTOL intercity and international flight.

Helsinki (Finland)

Tests of 6 scenarios are performed in Helsinki, for example:

  • Individual automated parcel delivery drones below and above 150m; flights in U-space end-to-end in two different Central Information Services.
  • Airline traffic arrival and departure from international airport
  • Cross-border flight between Estonia and Finland.

Kakolewo (Poland)

Tests of 5 scenarios are performed in Kakolewo, for example:

  • eVTOL intra-urban and peri-urban flights.
  • Long endurance drone surveillance flights (above 150m).
  • Drone mapping flights <120 m (construction, infrastructure, agriculture).

Klagenfurt (Austria): Virtual Trials

On 5 October 2021, between 13:00-14:30 CET, the GOF 2.0 project partners are going to virtually demonstrate how the GOF 2.0 System-of-Systems uses real-time information exchange – such as flight plans, telemetry, alerts, GeoZones, and cellular connectivity coverage – between Drone operators and Unmanned Traffic Management (U-space) systems so that drones and manned aircraft can safely fly in the same airspace at the same time.
